7-Eleven Mexico, SA de CV (SEM) was founded in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico in 1976 as a joint venture between Grupo Chapa SA de CV (formerly Valores Corporations SA de CV), a leader in grocery distribution in Mexico and 7-Eleven, Inc. (formerly The Southland Corporation), the world leader in convenience retailing.
At December 31, 2007, 7-Eleven Mexico had more than 810 convenience stores in operation in the Mexican states of Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, Coahuila and Jalisco and Mexico City. In addition, 7-Eleven Mexico has granted a sub-licensee in the Southeast region of the country.
With the support of more than 7,000 employees and our sub-licensee as well as our vendor partners, we are consistently seeking new ways to improve our level of service and attention to every individual customer in each of our stores. 7-Eleven Mexico is proud to be the first retailer in Mexico to offer 24 hour service, 365 days per year.
7-Eleven Mexico’s stock range includes a full selection of convenience products including the exclusive and proprietary branded Café Select hot beverages, Big Bite grill products and Big Lunch fresh products. Through a management contract with Pemex franchisee, Productos Seleccionados SA de CV, an additional service we provide to our customers in more than 77 of our stores is full service petroleum products under the brand PETRO-7.
