Alan Beach is Vice President of Merchandising. His responsibilities include leading the category management and merchandising teams for non-foods, processed foods, proprietary products, services, vault, cigarettes and other tobacco products.

He is a 7-Eleven veteran with more than 30 years of service to the organization. Beach began his career in 1977 as a management trainee in Baltimore, Md., following in his father's footsteps, who had just retired after a 23-year career with the company.

Beach has continued to excel in a number of business functions such as operations, field merchandising and merchandising, where he successfully led seven different product categories.

Beach also has served as Director of Fresh Foods and helped lead the category's growth to exceed 20 percent. During his tenure with 7-Eleven, he also was instrumental in developing the Burger Bite® grill item, the Slurpee® Splitz-O Cup, Café Cooler™ beverages, 24-ounce Big Brew® coffee cup, Dark Mountain Roast™ coffee and a number of merchandising guidelines, processes and procedures.
