Nolan’s Story
At the age of 3, Nolan was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a cancer that develops in the retina. Nolan’s left eye was surgically removed, and he was fitted for a prosthetic eye, his “superhero eye” as he likes to call it. In August of that year, he started chemotherapy at CHRISTUS Children’s and completed his treatment in time for his 4th birthday.

Since 2002, 7-Eleven, the world’s largest convenience retailer, has been celebrating its birthday on July 11 in a special way. We have given our customers a FREE Slurpee® drink on 7/11 to thank them for their loyal patronage and continued support.

7-Eleven, the world’s largest convenience retailer, was founded in 1927 as an icehouse storefront in Dallas, Texas, and it was known as Tote'm Stores between 1928 and 1946. We will celebrate our 97th birthday on July 11, 2024.

7-Eleven Day will be known as “Slurpee Day”, as we’ll be celebrating across all our banners – 7-Eleven®, Speedway® and Stripes®.

7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores will celebrate Slurpee Day by giving every customer one FREE small Slurpee® drink. Those who use 7REWARDS® and Speedy Rewards® at checkout will receive an additional FREE small Slurpee® drink that can be redeemed anytime through 7/31.
How do you become a 7REWARDS® member, and is there a cost?
7REWARDS® is the proprietary loyalty program found in the 7-Eleven app, where customers can earn and redeem points on most purchases. Customers can also take advantage of offers, exclusive discounts and interactive features – awesome, right? The 7-Eleven app is available for download on smartphones via the Apple App Store or via Google Play. There is no cost associated with signing up for 7REWARDS.
How do you become a Speedy Rewards® member, and is there a cost?
Speedy Rewards® is the proprietary loyalty program found in the Speedway stores, where customers can earn and redeem points on most purchases. Customers can also take advantage of offers and exclusive discounts. The Speedway app is available for download on smartphones via the Apple App Store or via Google Play. There is no cost associated with signing up for Speedy Rewards.
